Ask us about fence financing
Monthly payment options are available on many projects. Ask our team which plans fit your fence, and we will walk you through the numbers.
How to use the financing calculator
- Start with your amount. If you priced your fence with our fence cost calculator, the top of your estimate range is filled in for you. You can also type any amount or drag the slider.
- Choose a plan. Plans can include promotional periods and fixed-rate loans. Each one shows its APR.
- Pick a term. Longer terms lower the monthly payment but add interest. The table under the calculator shows every plan and term at once, with the total you would pay.
When a payment looks comfortable, you can apply with our lending partner, or send us your project so we can confirm the exact fence price first.
How the monthly payment is calculated
For a fixed-rate plan, the payment is a standard amortized loan payment: the same amount every month, part interest and part principal, until the balance reaches zero. The calculator uses the plan’s APR and the number of months you choose. For a 0% promotional plan, the payment is simply the amount divided by the number of months.
The table also shows total paid: the monthly payment times the number of months. The difference between that and the amount financed is the interest. Comparing totals is the easiest way to see what a longer term really costs.
Tips for financing a fence
- Price the fence first. Use the cost calculator or book a free on-site estimate, so the amount you finance matches your real project. Gates, old fence removal and slope all change the total.
- Compare term against total. A longer term lowers the payment but raises the total. If you can afford a slightly higher payment, a shorter term usually saves money.
- Read the promotional terms. Promotional plans have specific rules about paying the balance by the end of the period. Read the lender’s terms carefully before you choose one.
- Think about the life of the fence. A fence that lasts decades with little upkeep, like aluminum or vinyl, can be worth a longer plan. Our Fence Finder Quiz compares materials by upkeep and lifespan.
Financing a fence in metro Atlanta and North Georgia
Many of the homeowners we work with, from Winder and Monroe to Cumming, Alpharetta and Marietta, want a fence now, before the dog, the pool or the new neighbors arrive, without paying the whole cost at once. Spreading the cost over time can also make it easier to choose the material you really want instead of the cheapest one.
Financing is offered through a third-party lender and is subject to credit approval. Academy Fence Builders does not make credit decisions. If you have questions about a plan, call us at (770) 867-0479 and we will point you to the right person.
Frequently asked questions
Can I finance a new fence?
Yes, on many projects. Financing is offered through a third-party lender and is subject to credit approval. Use this calculator to see example payments, then apply with the lender when you are ready.
Are these the exact payments I will get?
They are estimates based on the plans and APRs shown. Your actual rate, term and payment depend on the lender’s approval and the final price of your fence.
What amount should I enter?
Use the price of your fence. If you have not priced it yet, the fence cost calculator gives you a range in under a minute, and a free on-site estimate gives you the exact number.
Is there a minimum amount to finance?
Most plans have a minimum project amount. If your amount is below it, the calculator tells you.
Does applying affect my credit?
That depends on the lender and the type of check they run. The lender explains this before you submit an application.
Can I pay off the loan early?
Ask the lender about prepayment before you apply. Paying early can reduce the interest you pay on many plans.
